Mahindra Accelo (then M&M Intertrade division) setup India’s First Independent Steel service center at Kanhe, near Pune. This was setup in collaboration with Japanese companies - Mitsubishi Corporation and Nissho Iwai Corporation which later merged to become Metal One Corporation.

Mahindra Accelo (then M&M Intertrade division) started processing of electrical steel (CRGO) through expansion at Kanhe plant. Diversifying and entering into a new business vertical which is now a major contributor for Mahindra Accelo.

In 1998-99, Mahindra’s Intertrade Division achieved trading volume of 130,000 tonnes of steel. It had a nationwide marketing network with branches at Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad. With future growth prospects, a new company Mahindra Intertrade Limited was formed as a subsidiary of M&M.

Mahindra Accelo (then Mahindra Intertrade Ltd.) setup an electrical steel processing facility in Sharjah (UAE) in partnership with Nippon Steel. This was the first facility of the Mahindra Group in Middle East. It caters to the power segment in Middle east market.

Mahindra Accelo (then Mahindra Intertrade) setup an automotive steel processing plant at Nashik which housed India’s First Blanking line. This plant was a big leap because till then, blanking was done inhouse by automobile companies.

Mahindra Accelo (then Mahindra Intertrade) setup electrical steel processing facility at Vadodara, catering to the power segment.

Mahindra Accelo (then Mahindra Intertrade) setup electrical steel processing facility at Bhopal, catering to the power segment. This was setup in partnership with Metal One Corp, Japan.

Mahindra Accelo (then Mahindra Intertrade) entered the Electrical Stampings business by setting up a state-of-the-art CRNO (Cold Rolled Non Grain Oriented) steel processing facility at Kanhe in collaboration with Metal One Corp., Japan.

Mahindra Accelo (then Mahindra Intertrade) tied up with China Steel Global Trading and Mitsui & Co. to setup an automotive steel processing facility at Chakan, near Pune. This is the First facility in India to process high strength steel for automotive applications.

Mahindra Accelo (then Mahindra Intertrade) signs Joint Venture agreement with MSTC Ltd. (a Government of India enterprise) to setup India’s first vehicle recycling facility in the organized space under the brand name CERO.

Mahindra Intertrade and its group companies are brought under a common umbrella brand –Mahindra Accelo.

CERO sets up India’s First Organised vehicle recycling facility at Greater Noida. This facility uses modern technology and processes to recycle vehicles in environment-friendly manner.

CERO sets up its 2nd vehicle recycling facility at Chennai to cater to the vehicle recycling requirement of South India.

Mahindra Accelo establishes itself in South India market by setting up a state-of-the-art Automotive and Electrical steel processing facility at Chennai.

Mahindra Accelo sets up a electrical steel processing facility at Indonesia to cater to power transformer customers in the region.

CERO sets up its 3rd vehicle recycling facility at Pune taking its presence to 9 locations across India including collection centers.

Mahindra Accelo expands into a new territory of Automotive component supplies with an advanced, high-speed Progressive Stampings line at its facility at Chakan near Pune.

CERO continues its aggressive expansion plans by setting up 3 new recycling facilities at Indore, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad along with various collection centers taking total customer touchpoints to 27 major cities across India.

Mahindra Intertrade Ltd. is changed to Mahindra Accelo Ltd. with a core focus to accelerate decarbonisation across its businesses.

CERO further expands by 3 new recycling facilities at Chandigarh (Punjab), Guwahati and Bengaluru along with collection centers taking its presence to 40 locations across India.

Mahindra Accelo Ltd. (MAL), formerly known as Mahindra Intertrade Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M). MAL is engaged in Mobility and Energy component business including vehicle recycling. It operates out of 3 locations including Pune, Nashik and Vadodara. It is the parent company of the other Mahindra Accelo Group companies.

Mahindra Steel Service Centre Ltd.

Mahindra Steel Service Centre Ltd is a joint venture between Mahindra Accelo and Metal One Corporation, Japan formed way back in 1993. It is engaged in Mobility and Energy component business. It operates out of 5 facilities across Pune, Bhopal, Noida, and Chennai.

Mahindra Auto Steel Pvt Ltd.

Mahindra Auto Steel Pvt Ltd is a Joint Venture between Mahindra Accelo, CSGT International Corporation, Taiwan and Mitsui & Co, Japan formed in 2015. It is operating out of a state-of-the- art facility at Chakan, near Pune and is engaged in the Mobility business.

Mahindra Middle East.

Mahindra Middle East Steel is a Joint venture between Mahindra Accelo and Nippon Steel Corporation, Japan, formed in 2005. It is engaged in the energy component business and has a state-of-the-art facility in Sharjah, UAE,.

PT Mahindra Accelo Steel.

PT Mahindra Accelo Steel, Indonesia, has been formed to expand and add value to our energy component business in Indonesia. A state-of-the-art plant has been set up which became operational in 2022.

Mahindra MSTC Recycling Private Ltd.

Mahindra MSTC Recycling Private Ltd (‘MMRPL’) was formed to set up environment-friendly recycling centres for end-of-life vehicles. It is a joint venture between MAL and MSTC Ltd (a government of India Enterprise) and operates under brand name ‘CERO’. It has nine modern Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSF) and 18 collection centres across India.

Mahindra Electrical Steel Private Ltd.

Mahindra Electrical Steel Private Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra Accelo Ltd set up with the main objective of trading and processing in non-ferrous/ferrous materials, including various grades of steel.
