Mahindra Accelo’s facility at Kanhe (near Pune) processes Cold Rolled, Hot Rolled and Cold Rolled Grain Oriented steel for automotive applications and transformers.

This plant uses best – in – class manufacturing facilities for processing automotive as well as electrical steel with equipment sourced from Heinrich Georg GmbH Maschinenfabrik, Germany; Nittetsu Denji Corp., Japan and Esmech Pro / eco, India. The Cold rolled steel (CR / CRCA) and Hot rolled steel (HR) for automotive skin panels is sourced from leading steel mills domestically as well as from overseas. The CRGO steel (Cold rolled grain oriented steel) for transformers is sourced from Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp. (NSSMC), Japan – the best in the world.

It was the first steel service centre in the organized sector in India to be set up as an integrated facility catering to the automotive, electrical stampings and power sectors.

The plant is ideally situated to cater to the processed steel requirements of auto OEMs, as well as major transformer manufacturers located in western and southern India.
